Big Media failed us, Impeach Bush!

I remember four years ago with the build up towards the war that I didn't agree, but since these guys, (the feds) knew more about it than I, that reluctantly, they had our best at heart.

My mother broke ranks with her life long affiliation with the Republican party and voted for the first time in her 69 years for a Democrat.

I forget her exact words, but it was something along the lines of "He's going to get us into trouble".

Bill Moyers had a program on PBS last night about Knight Rider, the news paper, not the TV show.

During the whole build up to the war, KR was the only American media source that questioned the information coming out of Washington.

Had anyone in big corporate media bucked the trend and picked up a telephone to Independantly Confirm the reports from the White House, they would have soon discovered that it was all a Big Lie.

Bush and his admin., including Colin Powel, whom I would have voted in for Pres. in a heart beat, Sold Us A War.

And big corporate media, led us by the nose...

Impeach Bush.
Impeach Cheney.

Fire Wolfawitz.

Put them all in an Iraqi Jail...

Billions and Billions of tax dollars into corporate pockets.
Thousands of Americans killed.

Countless hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed.

International relations black eye.

and the loss of our Constitutional Freedoms.

(a young woman on her my space site wrote "I want to kill bush". The FBI pulled her (a minor)out of school, with out her parents permission or awareness, and interviewed her.)

Tuesday night PBS had an Independant Lens program on Enron.
The CEO of Enron brought down the Govenor of California and by default, put Arnold in office.
Enron was a Texas firm.
They delt in Oil.
While Bush Jr. was Gov. of Texas, he was good friends with the founder of Enron.
(Enron traders manipulated the price of power by shutting down power plants and transmittion lines for hours at a time. When the rolling black outs were happening in California a few years back, now Pres. Bush defered to Enron. And as a result, the Californians voted out their sitting Gov.)

I say again,

Impeach Bush!

With out a doubt, he will go down in History as the worst President in American History...
***
and lastly,

Dismantle big Corporate Media...

As Dan Rather said in the Bill Moyers' program, when you work for a large international corp. and that corp. is lobbing the feds for favorable legislation (to let them get even larger, *my words*) your editors and reporters are not going to actually say what they think about the Feds...

things will work out

that has been my philosophy with life in general, and it comes in handy when a crisis strikes.

And so it has worked out with the house.

Our bank was unable to give us a loan based on Zelda's and my income...

So...

we tried with Mortgage lenders, our builder in this case, and they were able to finance us solely on my income.

go figure...

We will be closing Friday at noon!
****
We met our neighbor to the east of us.
It was becoming questionable as to whether some one actually lived there or not...
High weeds, dead trees, and very little if any signs of life.

Yesterday, as we sat on our soon to be front steps, a young lady stepped out the front door in lounge around the house clothes, with phone in hand, and began to attack the weeds in the yard.

After 20 mins. or so, she asked for help from us.

She's been here since about November having moved from California for a change.

I welcomed her to Texas and thought to myself, "Culture shock".

Like our neighbor to our west, she is single and owns a gi-hu-gic house.
Two story, 3,000 s.f. beasty. That's alot to keep up by one's self.
(I had hard enough time with a 1,300 s.f.).

Which brings us to the idea of buying a home.

Zelda and I got with in a week of closing and found we had trouble closing.
Young man to our west may not beable to close on his...

He was up for a promotion at work.
He didn't get the promotion at work.
(Turns out he worked for a big box home improvement company).
So he decided to quit and try door to door sales...

We haven't seen him in about a month...

Shame.

I was looking forward to having him for our neighbor...

Houses

We are less than a week from closing on our new home
when we get notice from our bank
that even though we have been Okay'd for the loan,

because of Zelda's change in employment status from employee to business owner in the last 6 months,

they have decided to decline.

Scramble, scramble, scramble.

Wamu strikes again...

We have a couple of backups in the mix so Monday we shall find out who we will go with.
(and probably should have gone with from the begining...)

Anyway, work is real busy...
Home front is real busy...

We'll figure this out...

House looks GREAT!

Happy birthday

Last Thursday was my late mother's birthday.
She would have been 76 years on this planet this time around.

One of her requests and dreams for me was to get lisenced as an Architect.

Mid way through my day, Z called to let me know I "got a letter" in the mail.

She was more exited than I to learn I passed my last of nine exams for licensure as an Architect in the State of Texas.

Passed all nine the first time.
I have to brag on myself and say I am the only person I know, (not that others have not done it), to pass all nine exams the first time through!

Time to make new plans.
